What to expect during your consultation:
The duration of the first consultation is usually between 45 and 60 minutes. This consultation will consist of a full medical history and examination as well as treatment based on the diagnosed condition. The examination includes relevant neurological and orthopaedic tests whereby joint and nerve function, as well as muscle strength are determined. This is done to facilitate the process of establishing the source of the complaint. As soon as a diagnosis is reached, a treatment plan will be formulated.
Thereafter, each follow up appointment will take approximately 30 minutes. The follow up treatments depend on the re-evaluation of the patient, as well as their response to the initial treatment.
If needed, you may be referred for x-rays or additional screenings. Please remember to bring any previous x-rays or scans along with you.
